Hey ya'll

Hi guys, I'm Grace from Ireland. I'm currently working on a fantasy novel and wanted to draw out some maps for my own reference and I ended up finding this place! I mean, I COULD just scribble it down on a sheet of paper, but I'm too much of a map nerd and lover to do that. But in general, I'm a complete noob when it comes to drawing maps. I love looking at maps, sorry I mean drooling, and I have a stash of them from all my favourite fantasy series. But drawing them is a different story altogether, so that's why I'm here. I made my first map with the help of Tear's Sadiron tutorial, which was mind boggling in both a stressful way and enlightening way. It's a region from my novel, and is still a work in progress.

Don't judge too hard. Again, I'm a complete noob. I am in awe of all the amazing maps I'm seeing on this forum. Here it is though.

Thats looking really nice for a first go at mapping Keep at it and sooner than you think people could be looking at some of yours with some wonder too.

I looking forward to seeing this progress, and along those lines I would recommend that you start a WIP (Work In Progress) thread over in this forum where we specialize in giving helpful hints and critiques along with answers to beginners questions. Don't be shy about asking because we ALL started at the beginning of this path and have asked most of the questions you might come up with at one point or another.
