So...Hello!

I am not really good with this and quite often skip the intro forums, but you seem to have a very nice community and I did not want to be rude.

Okay here comes the part I am bad at.

Let's see, maps, yep fun. I have considered joining a forum or something for some time now, but life keeps you busy and you don't always do what we will find fun.

I am working on a map for a fantasy campaign now. I have promised it years ago and started to put pencil to paper on a large pre-gridded poster board. landmass set coastal lines, islands rough marked the cities. Then I bit off more than I could chew and put it away for a few years after 3 re draws.

I am moving to my current digital platform, gimp 2. I wanted to research realistic traditional topographic map markings and came across this site. You seem to have a great community and I look forward.

map knowledge =basic
skill = beginner
funny fact = when buying my house spent more time on the county gis site than google maps, found it more resourceful.

Yeah.....um hope this wasnt to long or short or anything, but glad to be here!

Hi Triazra and welcome to the Guild. Thanks for introducing yourself. Feel free to start a thread in one of the work-in-progress folders if you'd like some help or critique with your map. And check out the Tutorials/How To area if you need some tips.
