Hello. I am really quite new to the whole map making thing. I took a quick look around the site before joining so I knew what I was getting myself into. It seemed like the program gimp was commonly used for map making purposes so I have downloaded that. Not sure what else to put in here. Thanks for reading and having me.

Thank you. RobA's tut was actually what pushed me to joining. I was reading it and really wanted to show my appreciation and get some assistance in some other things. I'm wondering if there is a tut on how to structure landmasses to appear realistic, through all the wonderful things that create the variations in landmasses we see such as tectonic shifts.
