Jack of all, master o' none

Hey all,

So as per the title, I tend to be a jack of all and master of none - too often than I would like! But simply put I'm an aspiring writer who loves to get lost in worlds... To that end, cartography (something I've never done but really keen to learn more about) is something that I'm really interested in learning more about!

I'd say I'm in constantly in that early romance stage with ideas that never seem to grow into realities, although I do try... I'm sure there is a diamond somewhere beneath all the mud I've thrown onto the wall these past few years!

Anyway, thanks for having me on board. I look forward to taking part in the community.

Hi Matthew, and welcome to the Guild.

If you're pretty new to mapmaking, I suggest downloading a couple of tutorials and working through them, as they'll teach you basic techniques that you can play about with yourself. This intro post has a lot of useful links and there are PDF tutorials here. There's lots of other general info in the Tutorials/How To area, though if you're stuck with something in particular, don't be shy to ask.
