    Default Hello! Im new

    Hello!

I have been admiring all of your work from afar for awhile. I decided to come join up now that I am trying to make maps for my campaign in Campaign Cartographer 3+ and have so many questions, like "Why?! I want to change the color...where did you hide this function!?" Also I will be commissioning actual artistic maps to use in my campaign as well.

    Thanks
    Sky

Hi Sky and welcome to the Guild. I can't help with CC3+ unfortunately, but I think I know a little Mouse who may be able to help you...

Dive right in and don't be shy to ask any questions you may have.

    Hello Sky

    I am that mouse

The first thing you need to do is read the user manual. It isn't that long, and its not that hard. I know, because I read it.

You also need to do the practical exercise contained in the manual - every step of it, because it teaches you how to use the basic drawing tools. Moving forward without that vital knowledge is pretty difficult, and it also makes things really awkward for other CC3ers who are trying to help you if you don't know what to do or where to look when they say things like 'use the trace tool', 'Make sure you are pasting them on the Symbols sheet', or 'the compasses are in the cartouches catalogue'.

Other than that - looking forward to seeing your first WIP thread

PS - if you are making dungeon maps you may want to have the CC3 add on Dungeon Designer 3, but that comes after you've learned the basics of how to steer the software
