Harvester Moon

[Meshon]

Here's a map I finished a few weeks ago, to go with an adventure called Harvester Moon in EnWorld's EONS Magazine (the official magazine of the WOIN role-playing system). A fun map to work on in the conceptual stages. The art brief called for an area of several square miles of an old alien city to be depicted. The catch was that all the roofless walls were supposed to be five feet high, and I remember thinking, "but you won't be able to see any of that!"

Some liberty was taken with the scale though, and this is the result. I so rarely draw things zoomed out (I'm usually doing encounter maps), so it's good to expand my parameters. This is my second time working with EnWorld, and it was an absolute pleasure once again.

I'm still toiling away on a group of maps that won't be out for some time, so it's nice to have something I can post in the meantime. Thanks for looking!

Oh, this is an interesting map Meshon! I love how you worked the plateau levels with the ramps. Also a fantastic job drawing the hover(?) sleds in this scale, they look so great! Are you allowed to tell us, what these red blobs are? The Sherlock in me can only deduct they're some kind of lifeform, since they group around the waterholes... ?

I love mazes.... and that's not just my mouse persona speaking. I just love them. I could wander around this map for ages finding all the dead ends and discovering how to get at all the points of interest.

Depicting the city described in the brief sounds like a real challenge, and I think you've met that challenge well in this piece. Nice execution.

Interesting map Meshon. I like the perspective a lot and those walls without roofs creates quite nice picture.
