Fantasy RPG Map Color preference

Good evening, all

Just seeking some input on which color of a world map is preferred for if you a) are a player in a game b) running a game?

I love the one on the left.

Kinda depends on the location? The one on the right would fit the tropics while the one on the left is more suitable for temperate/European climates.

I second @wired. The right feels like a map of somewhere in Central America or South Asia, the left feels more Scandinavian.

Also, for what it's worth, if I had the map on the right, I'd assume the yellow was sand, but the same area on the left is more like dirt/hill country.
