    Default April Light Challenge

I don't always post maps from Reykjavik, but when I do, I post in ink.

This map was inspired by a recent challenge, to map where all the Cartographers come from and, for some reason, "Cartoglodytes" popped into my head. I'm still not sure if it should be Cartroglodytes... I imagined strange, almost-human creatures, having visions of worlds and mapping them out with pebbles and moss.

    Cheers,
    Meshon

    That looks beautiful, Meshon.

I know you can't upload it any larger right now, but I would love to see it a bit bigger.

What a shame you couldn't have entered the Lite Challenge with it!

I think it's a bit better, the lower quality might have been because I used Tapatalk, not sure. I think it's better now. Thanks for checking it out and alerting me to the resolution.

    Oh yes - that's better.

I can now appreciate Bogie's Eye of Providence as the Seat of Sages, and I think I've been spending too much time in the Cave of Visions just lately, what with all the strange beasties I've been seeing in other people's maps!

    Nice one, Meshon

Hey! That's exactly how I make my maps, they don't say I'm Old School for nothing

Really nice map Meshon. I do like the subtle Bogie theme to part of it.

This is a nice piece of work Meshon, will it be hung up in a hostel in Reykjavik?

Haha! I wish it could be! But my impression is that the hostels here also function as exclusive art galleries. Anyway, Reykjavik is far behind and I am now just east of Akureyri. I'm trying to take pictures of everything for mapping reference!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! And sorry about that ChickPea, by "almost-human" I mean, of course, partially Divine...

I'll always love a hand-drawn map and this is no exception. I was delighted to see Bogie in there! It's too bad you didn't enter the challenge, but thanks for sharing with us anyway.

"I imagined strange, almost-human creatures"... Now that's no way to talk about your fellow Guild members...

Haha, love the Bogie touch in there, Meshon! This is a really lovely, challenge inspired map and a wonderful ink style to boot!
