WIP that's actually nearly complete

Hi All,

Im really new here and hope I'm doing this correctly.
I thought I'd post an almost finished map in the hopes of getting some (gentle?) criticism.

I'm really loving seeing all of these amazing artists work. Very inspiring!

Anyway, here is my Fantasy map...

Hi brianmcg ! Very good map here, colors and textures are well done and you did a great job on labels, they are neat are well contrasted. I like very much the shape and bends of your river, too.
Want some criticism ? You could add some more rivers, seeing the one you draw I know you can do it The coastlines and boundaries are may be a bit too smooth but the overall look is ok. What I am not very fond of (but this is just my opinion) is the mountains brush you used : Mountains seem too present and standardized, you could perhaps try to add/replace some with an other brush and use a lighter color ?
Anyway, great job, go on and have some rep !
PS : You have not named the western country ?
PS2 : Will you distinguish the capitals ?

Hey thanks you Tenia, I see what you mean about the mountains brush, I tried softening them but to no avail. I think in future I'll try and various brushes to make it more organic. I will name the western country... I just couldn't think of one and yes, I had planned on labelling the capitals perhaps with larger shields of office.
