Map Anonyma II : Another nameless land

    Hi fellow cartographers,

Here's a commission I finished a couple weeks ago for a private RPG party. The wanted to label it themselves, so here's a blank anonymous map again The map was done in PS and it was fun to play with colors and shadows. The border and title embellishments we're pretty cool to do to. The original file is twice as big and working at 400 dpi has it's perks

Your maps are getting better and better Thomas. This is really good map. My only criticism would be too bright rivers, which also dosen't match the ocean colour.

Wanted to rep but can't, need to spread love.

Thanks Rafal ! About the rivers, I really wanted them to pop out and for the ocean color, it was way to pale to match.

If I really wanted to make a critic, it would be at the mountains, too pyramidal for my taste ... but this is really only my opinion! Congratulations for this beautiful work anyway, hoping to see others soon!
I'll have to find other maps that I like before coming back here to give you the rep you deserve !
Thanks a lot Joel You're right, my mountains need a little more bite and jaggedness.

The Cliffs are beautiful, however the waterway next to it maybe should show falls or a change in elevation as well? The mountain at the base of the Cliffs maybe a little bigger, seem too small next to the cliffs?, but damn I do like those cliffs!!
Thanks Snodsy ! I agree about the too close quarters for the chasm and the sea but it was mandatory. It's an unnatural formation that scars the landscape hence the "misplaced" feel to it. If that helps, the sea body in the middle of the continent is 200 mile wide from west to east. And I damn well know you like those cliffs

And I think I didn't said it before, but I really like the way you do your coastal waves. All in all, a great map .
Merci beaucoup cher ami I know the rivers are not to everyones taste and I certainly should have toned them down but you gotta gimme that : they've got character as is ! Glad you like the chasm and the mountain ranges, I tried to have the the more organic possible. And glad you like them waves, they're heavily inspired by a map by J Edward. You gotta learn from the bests
