    Default Raaf River Camping Trip

    Hey all!
Here is my finished entry for the May/June Lite challenge, which details the travels of a fictional camping trip.
I hope you like it, and let me know what you think!

Nice map Josiah. The bike is really cool, placaing it in the middle of the map is odd to me. Good job anyway.

    Hey Josiah

I already told you I love the adventure aspect of this map on the challenge thread, but I also like the way you did the relief. What technique is that?

Thanks Voolf! Yeah, I was originally planning to have a wide border with different illustrations and stuff, but ran out of time.

    Thank you Mouse!
I suppose it's just a technique I came up with myself for this map. It's a grunge brush with some bevel and texture effects.

Very nice work Josiah. I like a lot the illustrations and the colour scheme.
As for possible improvements, I would suggest to enhance a bit the coastlines & the paper borders, with an additionnal line and/or maybe a slight dropped shadow.

Thanks for the feedback Ilanthar! I was actually liking the no-linework style on this one, but I'll keep it in mind for next time.

This is a great map of a brilliant adventure. I do like the textures used in the land and the storm cloud is great. I bet you're glad that black bear didn't have a bike!
