Default From the depths of history ...

Going through some papers I came upon a stash of about a hundred maps I made back in Junior High and High School (mid-1990s). I thought I'd share a few of the more presentable ones here.

100 maps!? That's awesome! They look really nice.

Nice! I love that first one. Have some well-deserved rep.

Seeing stuff like this is bittersweet for me; I also had a crapload of hand-drawn maps from high school (a decade earlier than you), but when I graduated and joined the navy, they disappeared. I know my mom wouldn't have thrown them out, so I'm not sure what happened them.

A bunch of us had... a bunch of us lost them... that's why a bunch of us joined the guild.

Back into this thread: great maps, Mapsburgh! Here's some rep!

She would have put them somewhere safe for you, D

    Great maps Mapsburgh!

You must have had more tolerant parents and teachers than I did. I was only allowed to do 'proper maps' of real places.... yawn! to be caught doodling a fantasy world meant detention at school, and to be encouraged to do something more practical/social at home.

I'm glad they never managed to straighten me out

I got yelled at plenty of times for drawing maps (and other things) in class. I didn't have many friends, so I had plenty of time to draw maps outside of school!

Diamond: Sorry to hear about your maps going missing. Here's hoping they turn up someday.
