    Default [WIP] Serentus

A friend of mine asked for some help making a map for his campaign so I decided to give it a go. Looking for any advice based on what I have done so far before I get ahead of myself. Thanks for any and all input!

    Not bad.
A couple thoughts/personal preference (feel free to ignore)... the coastline seems uniformly jagged all the way around and could perhaps be smoothed out in various places for a more natural feel. And the glow on the inside edge of the forest looks a bit bright or saturated (for my taste) although the whole map is more in that direction so it doesn't really stand out of place much. But those are minor. It is really quite a nice start to your friend's map.

That's really gorgeous. A great use of those mountains, and I love how you've integrated the forest with them. I'm not really bothered with the interior glow of the forests; it fits well with the map as a whole. I also have to disagree with Chashio (sorry Chashio!!) about the coastline - I wouldn't change a thing.

One thing that could really make or break this map is the way you end up doing your rivers. I look forward to seeing where this goes!

Thanks for the encouragement. Here is an update. Tweaked some of the terrain, added some labels, as well as a river and lake. I'm trying to take baby steps and since you mentioned rivers making the map I wanted to get your opinion on that first one before branching out on others. I am also concerned about the labels. I kinda like the ocean ones but something seems off about the land ones.
