Map The Kingdom in the clouds (Guildworld 25)

After all this time I finally completed my map. It hasn't been easy and the result could have been better but I learned a lot during this time.

    The original thread

The complete map at a lower quality (still not so bad)

And for the curious, 4 parts at higher quality

This is glorious Azelor and congratulations for finishing it The colours and the textures are superb. I like the forests and orchards but what I'm really impressed with is the (I think) arable land and the way it looks like it is divided into different fields. Do you use brushes or patterns or something for that?

Oh and what is the punishment for smuggling large flat metal disc shaped resonant percussive instruments into that province in the south west? I'm erm asking for a friend.

Now that is a resolution i call useful! Very much appreciated. You can really look at all the splendid details. Awesome map!

I love the Asian flavor it portrays...very well done. And there are some really...special clouds

Hopefully, you'll do more maps in that style. How about a nice Asian themed world map

If i can, I'll Rep. you.

Holy smokes Azelor! This is incredible!
I really hope you didn't hand draw all those forests and farms.. The detail is simply stunning, it makes it feel like a massive, realistic, expansive land.
The colour blending is really excellent, it makes the different biomes seem alive and realistic.

I can't say enough good about this, it deserves a CC award!

Thank Straf. I did not use a brush for that. Once I had a area large enough, I started using the duplication tool. Then, it's just about filling the gaps.

And sorry I did not get the joke.
Smuggling things there is about as easy and exiting it would be to go from West Antarctica to East Antarctica.

That was my goal, it's good to know that I have succeeded. The major drawback is that it took a long time to make.

The province called Gongban, I wondered if it was because gongs are banned there

I wish I could give you rep just for the pun, but lets not PUNder on that one eh? We don't want to get PUNished I like puns XD

Azelor, now i am talking to you haha. That map is amazing indeed, The moutains remind me of an old style I tried to use but couldn't, your clifs are great and might even inspire me for my future projects. Hydrography looks good and the colours fit well.
I am no expert so maybe I am totally wrong, but I doubt I am wrong in my judgement here that your maps seems quite realistic. Congratulation!

No we do not create, we simply discover who we are.
