    Wip Forsaken Empire Commission (WIP)

Hey everyone! I haven't posted a lot recently, but I've still been working on some maps. This is my latest commission, and so far I think it's worked out pretty well. I've learned a lot while making it too. As always, let me know what you think, comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

    OMGoodness, Matthew!

    That is just GORGEOUS

I LOVE the colour. Its a wonderful warm and gentle salve on a pair of sore old eyes (mine)

It looks like you are off to a good start. The only comment I would have is to make sure you get some texture or something to break up the smooth color of those lakes, because right now they don't really fit with the rest of the map. You might want to reconsider that blue, too, since the ocean/sea isn't blue.

Thank you! I will definitely make the lakes a less uniform texture. But I haven't even started on the actual coloring of the map, so the ocean will eventually be blue (and forests green, etc). But I do also like these "autumn" colors, so maybe I will have a version for both.

Oh no! I like it this colour. Its like an ink wash on old parchment, and its really easy on the eyes.

Never mind. I'll just keep coming back to this first post to look at it again.

Haha, thanks! Well, the client wants color, so who am I to argue?

As always, I admire the precision of your stroke! Beautiful work ... and, although the tones are very beautiful today, I look forward to see what it will give with more colors
