Map My most ambitious maps so far, the whole Sword Coast map !

My friends ! Today I bring you my greatest achievement so far. A map of the whole Sword Coast ! It's huge ! At 7000x4336 px at 300DPI this thing will print to poster size. Smaller more manageable versions are included too, plus a commercial license so your stuff and modules looks great.

It zooms-in a great deal. Thanks for everybody's support and purchases btw and be on the look out for a bundle, I'm bundling all my Sword Coast stuff this week in a mega pack.

You can find this one here and I'd love to hear feedback on this one.

Excellent work overall. The forest are especially well rendered. I got a lot of nostalgia for the Sword Coast due to the old Baldur's Gate series. Looking at the map takes me right back to nights full of adventure.

Very nice! There's definitely an echo of Jared Blando's work in the little decorative patterns used on the land and sea. I especially love how lively the lines around the coasts look - you so often see elements like that looking very crispy and mechanical, but that doesn't exist here. Nice use of texture and color too.

The only things I think could use a little more refining would be the border and the legend box. The border could maybe use a bit more decoration, and the legend perhaps would benefit from a darker stroke around it or something? Just a suggestion, they just look a little unfinished in an otherwise very well layed out whole.

In any case, certainly a rep worthy piece!

Looking real nice, Derek and a great set you've build up there!

It's a fine map, Derek! If I had a nitpick, it would be about the forests : the trunks are a bit too thin for me, somehow.

I especially like how clean this map looks. How did you make the watermarked details in the background?

I used a regular brush and just set the layer to overlay mode with like 10 or 20 opacity. then adjusted the hue.
