Looks like a novelty to me personally. I would want to see a full sized one though.

I don't understand the fascination with that projection. It may be "more accurate", but a comparison without something to compare it to is meaningless. It may be "crazily accurate", but only if you don't understand the concepts of "crazy" or of "accurate". It may even be the "most accurate" projection as some sites would put it, but only if your metric of accuracy is "won a specific Japanese design contest in a specific year". In short, it's a design student's idea of what he thinks math ought to be.
