    Default Hello~!!

Ah... it's been a while since I've done anything on a forum other than read. But, um, Hiya.

I've never really done cartography before, but finding myself stuck for ideas for my fantasy story I've been world building, I thought perhaps a map might help me, quite literally, map out the journey and lead to figuring out parts that had been missing before.

this looks like a very interesting place to learn things, and I hope I can be decently active here!

Pleasure to meet you all and... yeah, hello

Hi Erik, and welcome to the guild. Be sure to check out our tutorials and when you're ready to try your hand at mapping, make a post in the WIP section for help and critique while you work. And don't worry, we're a friendly bunch in here

    Thanks Tilt!
I’ve actually tried some hand-drawing map outlines on graph paper (for the grid, figured I could use that as a ‘cheat’ for distance measuring… might not be as clever as I think I am though, ha ha)

I’m not sure if I want to continue by hand or move to Photoshop.

I will -certainly- look over the tutorials, and start up a WIP thread.

Also, now that I’m thinking about it. I’ll have to see if there’s any worldbuilding forums like this is for maps (unless I missed something -here-)

Again than you for the welcome Tilt!
