    Map "The Lands of Eydra" by Blando

    Hey All,

    Got another commission to show for you all, this one a world map of the Lands of Eydra.

    I worked on this for a number of months as a back-burner project as the client had no real rush for it. I tried out a few new techniques to shake things up and was pretty pleased with how it turned out.

    In the end it was far more intricate than I had originally intended and had an insane number of tags, but that happens sometimes :-) Done in PS CS4E.

    That is very pretty. How large is the original?

    A superb map in all aspects ! Colors are slighly different from what you usually do aren't they ?
    I'm always a big fan of your work and especially of your ornaments, and this map is just what I love !

    Thank you all for your kind comments, it is always appreciated.

    @MistyBeee - Thanks! Is not exactly in my typical style, though it shares many elements of it. I went with a more subtle, more defined look, though it could use some beating up

    @Jaxilon - The map is an 18" x 24" piece.

    This is gorgeous! I get a definite Westeros vibe here, although that may be the geography rather than the style - which has a unique flavor to it

    Wow! Another amazing creation! By the way, your book has really taught me a lot; you can probably see your influences everywhere on my latest map, Aendeross.

    That is indeed a very different map for you. But still recognizably a Red Epic. Cool stuff!

    Is this a private commission or will it appear in some product?

    I'd very much love to see this in a better resolution, so that i can look at all the detail.
