Boardgame map

Hello fellow guildies, I've been off the grid for a while (usual stuff: work, real life, etc..) but now that the summer is here I'm "back in the business"

Here it is a project I completed last year, is for an upcoming boardgame ,the temporary name is "Heroes of the Arena" and the kickstarter project should start next fall.
The game is settled in a magic valley, where the players will fight to the death.
Here some of the wip and the final realization, all materials down there are copyright of Steffen Schmidt, who gave me permission of posting the work.

This is the concept that the customer showed me, a round valley with the style and colour of my graenlandir map

I love it. Your linework is always top-notch, but it's REALLY great here. The color, the shadows, all the little details - great.

I'm guessing the portraits along the border represent the different players/gladiators?
