Introduction

Hello everyone,

A quick introduction from a new member. I discovered the site a few nights ago while browsing for textures. I've been fascinated with maps since I was a kid. In the days before GPS, my parents used to let me navigate our road trips using an old atlas and those giant folding gas-station maps. In high school I was an AD&D player and DM, so I created a lot of pen and paper maps for dungeons and campaigns back then. In college I studied architectural design, which included some building site surveying and mapping (old school pencil and ink drawings and a blueprint machine. CAD was just starting to be taught.)

These days I'm a reenactor in the American Revolutionary War time period, studying and occasionally drawing maps of the battles of the time-period. I'm also starting to get into miniature gaming, creating scenarios and battle-maps for table-top games.

I've been reading a lot of great stuff in the forums over the past few days. I'm looking forward to reading and learning more!
