Map Dokaro - Ulcer of the Empire

This one was pretty popular (well for me ) when I posted it over on DA, which I was pleasantly surprised at. I'd done cities in a similarish style in the past, but I think this one turned out the best.

Dokaro The Ulcer of the Empire.jpg

"A labyrinthian city muddled with different regions, all independent of each other, yet so closely interlinked. Moss stone houses turn to endless rows of tents, mud buildings make way for ornate mansions of beautiful marble and granite. Beauty can be found within Dokaro's many walls, but in the ruin and dangerous back alleys, it can be hard to spot."

Ooooh, this is super impressive! I love these colors and just the general aesthetic of if. It just oozes with atmosphere. The legend/location box could maybe use a bit more care in terms of the typography, but the map itself is top-notch.

Yep, I love the look of this one. Like Kell, the only thing I think could use some work is the location box. What if you reduced the font size so you could fit it all in one smaller rectangular box?

An impressive job in terms of detail! Incredible how long it must have taken?!?!? In any case, the result is really amazing!

Great work! Very clever, matching the colors to the names.
