    Default February 2019 Challenge: unnamed

So, I've finally had a chance to work on my entry for this challenge. First, though, here is the brief that eViLe-eAgLe gave me (just like the brief that I sent to him, eViLe-eAgle gave me three commissions that I could choose between):

    1. Map a continent, or region. In this particular instance, it would be from one of my long-term settings, and I would send you a couple choices of locations.

    2. A town or city, that is in encased in snow, surrounding a hot spring lake. This town contains many different races, and should have at-least one fortified location. Otherwise, it's up to you.

    3. Following your suggestions -- a color palette. In this case, It would be gray, red, and blue.

So, perhaps unsurprisingly, I chose to go with a snowy city around a hot spring (actually 2). Some of you may recognise an element of J.Edward's city maps in this - not for the first time, I'm emulating his style. I've always been extremely impressed by his natural looking building shapes.

No lore at the moment, but I might try to come up with something for this - unless eViLe-eAgle has something already in mind, of course...

Thoughts and critiques as always are welcome.

*question: does it look strange that the wolves and bear are at different scales to each other?

I like how it's starting! The planned border is a nice touch.

Wow ! That's promising ! The city itself (you went so fast to achieve the structure !) and most of all, the frame... that gives the whole ambiance ! I'm looking forward to see how you'll come through with the snow !!! Great start !!!

No, because they are different pictures. This is looking really fantastic.

Just a note; the WIP scraper picks up the first photo in the post regardless of where the tag is.

Wolves bigger than bears....Good, good, my evil plan is coming together...

Oh! Hello there, didn't realize I had company....

It looks just fine to me, and I have no problem with the wolves being larger than the bears.

Yep, great layout. Like Falconius said, the animals look fine because they're different pictures. But once you get farther in and add some color, it may change the look.
