Default March / April '19 Lite Challenge: Create a Map with a Full Moon

March / April '19 Lite Challenge: Create a Map with a Full Moon

The Challenge will run from March 20th until end of day April 14th

Since tonight is a Supermoon and it coincides very closely with the Spring Equinox, This month's Challenge is to create a map that has a full moon in it. Be clever, include the moon anyway you want to.

Win a silver compass, your friends will want to borrow it!

The Challenge will run until the end of the day on the 14th of April, (Midnight eastern daylight time between the 14th and 15th, more or less, depending on when I can get to the computer to start the voting) and then there will be 3 days of voting. Someone is going to win a Silver Compass, it could be you!

As usual, title your threads: "March / April '19 Lite Challenge: << your title here >> "

Don't forget to put the hashtag: ### Latest WIP ### in front of all WIP pictures, and especially in front of your final map. And don't forget, there is a WIP button that automatically posts this for you. Try it, You'll like it!

And remember, if you put more than one image on the same post, only one of them gets picked up.

Quick rules reminder: The Lite Challenge is open to anyone who has not already won 3 Silver compasses, 1 Gold Compass, or been selected as a featured Cartographer's Choice Map.
Also, the map has to be started on or after the first day of the challenge, no reusing older maps even if they were not finished.
Come on now, you know you want to do this!!

Yeah I had a feeling that would be a common response but I thought I would give people the chance to be creative and surprise us.

Ya know, I'm kinda dissapointed nobody took that and ran with it. Of course, I do have a rather juvenile sense of humor...

Is it bad that my first thought was to map a battle from Braveheart with Mel Gibson and his army "full mooning" the English army?
    GW

One's worth is not measured by stature, alone. By heart and honor is One's true value weighed.

Yes it is bad, but I did say "Any Way You want" and "Be Creative"....... I suspect I shall regret this momentary lapse of judgement,,,,

The actual mandate reads "a map that has a full moon in it" rather than "the Full Moon" or "a full Moon", so any natural satellite would qualify (and one could argue the case for a large enough artificial satellite on a Death Star scale). I expect we'll see some sci-fi entries. I'd probably go that way myself, if I didn't immediately have another idea.

May I say I JUST DID ONE SUCH MAP! (For the previous lite challenge.)

I just created a thread with my entry for the challenge, but I forgot the "March / April '19 Lite Challenge:" in the title... Does anyone know how I can fix this?
