    Post Virtual Nations / Micronations

I would be interested to know whether in the USA or other countries, exist similar projects such as virtual nations, fictional nations or micronations.

In Germany exist ca. 30-50 virtual nations with about 100-200 players.
Typical characteristics of german MNs are a forum/board like this, a claim on a MN-worldmap and interaction in politics, culture, sports and other parts of a real society. On average there are 5-10 players on a MN, sometimes more, sometimes less.

I know, that there are virtual-nation-projects in poland, france, GB and even brasil. But I wonder, that this kind of simulation is not present in the USA.

I would be lucky to get know similar in the whole world.
If you are interested in the german mn-subculture, I could give more infos.

Okay. Basically you simulate a nation with all its facets. The big part is the political interaction. This political simulation is mixed with the special culture or religion or what else.
    It's a online-RPG, mostly based on boards/forums.

    That is a german wiki-article:

A britain mn-comunity, read more infos in english:

For example my own virtual nation, sorry, i hope it's okay
The board is the main place of interaction

We have an own wiki, to collect all fictive structures

We have an economic-system, with a real market. You can own some comanys, produce a lot of goods and sell it on the market

Our geography you find here (some of you know this page)

For example one of the to german map-projects (map and board)

The maps are important for foreign affairs and diplomacy.

And at last the meeting point of the most of german nations and players

My own nation is a italian/roman-styled Kingdom. But we have britain-styled-, USA-styled-, of course german styled nations. But we have complete fictive nations too.
As I said, 30-50 nations with round about 150-200 players. In hollydays more...

    Funny it would come up.
I'm making a virtual nations/space colonization game. I just started putting it online, building the rules framework.
I've got the players in my D&D group in line to play but if anyone is interested in building the rules/world PM me.
The project as it is can be found HERE

    Sorry for double-posting.
Yes, that is really a type of it.
I can not believe, that it is a european phenomenon. The big USA have the same
prosperity with people who have a lot of leisure for those skuril things and a really big and old rpg-comunity.
