The Straits of Scintilla

This is my first completed, hand-drawn map that I have been really happy with. There are sections of it that I haven't done as well as I would like, specifically the text, which I will be focusing on in my next few maps

The Straits of Scintilla are central to this as-yet-unnamed world's economics and politics, linking the Silver Sea to the Cadien Sea allowing for easy trade that would otherwise have to pass through the Heretog Waste to the north or over mountain passes and through dense forests to the south. This trade has created several large, rich, cities, vying with one another for the metals, fabrics and spices passing through.

I really enjoyed working on this map - it's not very big, which may have helped make it feel more achievable than other attempts I have made.

Looks really good! My text is always something that I am working to improve as well. My handwriting is not the best to say the least...
