Hi everyone and thanks for welcoming me

My name is Louise and I love everything related to maps and space representation in general. I'm french so my english is a bit clumsy, I hope you will forgive me! I've been admiring the gorgeous artworks posted here for a while now, so I thought I might as well jump in
I'm writing a fantasy novel that inspires me to draw maps/plans etc. I work with pen and paper, being not skilled enough to work with gimp or photoshop. But maybe that will change thanks to your advices and tips!

Nice to have you along! Take a stroll down the tutorial section if you feel like dipping your toes into the pool of digital artwork, there is plenty of great stuff in there to get you started. Not that there is anything wrong with traditional methods, of course, far from it! I'm just hopelessly lost in the digital world. Physical paper scares me!

Another French person! There's lots of you here, and you usually apologize for your English, which is fine (the only thing I notice is that the French do tend to have a little trouble with English capitalization conventions). I'm an American, and we never apologize for our English, and we give give the Queen nightmares when we talk.
