    Default The City of Aetharn

Fellow cartographers, welcome to the dwarven city of Aetharn ( gold lust ), jewel of the Blue Rift and home of the venerable Golden Tooth clan !

I started this personal project many weeks ( months ? ) ago. It took a huge amount of time but I'm glad it's finally done.

As always, I hope you'll enjoy it !

    Made with Corel Painter 12.

EDIT: Updated version of the map uploaded on 12/03/2020 and featuring more natural colors.

Amazing work. The colors work very well together, especially that blue palette that evokes the mineral coldness of the cave. The multiples stairs makes me want to wander thoses streets, although the void that surrounds them is quiet frightening!

It was well worth the time, Marc
Splendid color scheme. All around beautiful piece.

First, this is awesome and has an extremely dwarven feel about it. I particularly like how it feels open in its layout, but fortress-like at the same time. Similarly to Gadiouka ^^, I do not want to get too close to the edge.

One, tiny thing is that in your list of locations, there is a typo (at least I believe so). #9 is "Crafters Spire" and #10 you have written as "Carfters District." -- nitpicking, I know, so apologies ahead of time.

Looks great Marc, the layout, the colors, the details all work. I really like the border, it definitely looks dwarven, but at the same time reminds me of the new Wonder Woman iconography.

This map does a really good job of showing height variations. Really excellent color choices as well. Definitely a map to draw future inspiration from!

    Great works !
We can hear the sound of the forges and smell the strong beer from here !
Is it an underground city ? Because it feels like it (nice job with the light and choice of colors !)

Very nice and clean. Would make a great video game map since it's not overwhelming.
