Default Viridia – the Witchbreaker Saga book map

So here's my most recent commission map, this time for a fantasy cycle named the Witchbreaker Saga by the awesome author Steven Mager.

This map is showing a region called Viridia, a brutal and savage place that will be explored by a group of adventurers. Fun fact: the coastline is actually based on the coastline of the US state of Virginia!

Oh by the way, if you want to see me struggle with it, be sure to go check out the WIP thread.

It came out amazing. I love how vibrant the colours are. Awesome stuff, I hope the customer is over the moon - I sure would be!

Oh he is, a fact I can confirm because it’s me!

I wanted both savagery and beauty in equal measure, and he delivered beyond any expectation. A true collaborative effort, he took all feedback, including my ridiculous nitpicks and made them exceptional. I love it all, even the font he invented out of thin air as I described the aesthetic I wanted, and he crushed it in one shot.

I can not place a higher recommendation, and will surely seek him out for any further work I have.

Very inky - I like it. They must be thrilled with this!
