I've come across this forum dozens of times in my years mapmaking, but have never stuck around for long. But last night I was stuck on a project for a friend and went on a deep dive into people's work here; I am now simultaneously astounded, intimidated, and inspired!!

I make mostly fantasy-world style maps, but I like to keep things grounded in believability; I think it adds a spice of wonder to know the effort a map creator went through with their research, and adds creative limitations (I love me some creative constraints). I wanna do a lot more with branching out my style, I haven't done much with smaller regional maps or city maps but I would like to at some point!!

Don't be too intimidated... better to be inspired than intimidated. You don't have to be as good as the best artists here to have a satisfying result for yourself. Welcome, be sure to share your maps in the future.
