    Map Desert Town

I see alot of Sahara style desert maps but I haven't seen many other styles of desert. So I decided to give it a try by modeling a map off of where I live. This particular style of desert is prevalent in the northern tip of the Great Basin Desert, primarily in central and eastern Oregon as well as parts of northern California and Nevada.

    Definitely works for me!
It's a bit small and there's not too many details, but hey, it's a desert/wasteland. How do you explain the lake being there in the center?

    Works for me...love the colors.

This isn't the full sized map. The full sized map was too large to host on here so I just shrunk it way down. As to the lake, it isn't a lake, it's a spring.

I should have asked: how do you explain a lake AND river being there by the way.
But a spring works for me

Yes the area around here has several springs. I don't think springs get used enough in maps, they're a great way to get water in the middle of nowhere.

I was actually going to post a larger version but it's corrupted for some stupid reason and photoshop refuses to open it. I'm glad that I at least got the small png working before that happened. Still it's rather annoying.
