Map completed Commission: personalised map of the United Kingdom.

I have recently completed a commission for a map of the United Kingdom with personalised locations highlighted such as honeymoon destinations, holiday locations, universities, family associated business locations etc. Had a lot of fun drawing this as I usually focus more on fantasy maps, but doing a realistic location now and then helps to grow your knowledge on what makes a realistic coastline and other key skills associated with cartography and hand-drawn map making.

Also, I have just created an Instagram account after months of procrastinating over it , so if you like what ya see consider following me as I'm posting every few days and I'd love to follow like-minded mappers!

Hope everyone's having a wonderful week and a good start to the new month

    Welcome to the guild.

Those maps are very nicely done. Looks like an interesting set of locations they have chosen. Laphroaig being so bold is unusual - maybe they are into their whisky. Loch Lomond has a spell error but its not too noticeable if your not from the UK.

But anyway as I said, nicely done and it looked like a lot of fun.

Great details and welcome! Pretty cool idea as there are probably great stories behind each of the locations defined. I love Harlech castle and the henge!

Really great map and welcome to the guild! Having been to both harlech and stonehenge, both look really great and were instantly recognizable. The NW coastline of Scotland looks really great as well.
