Default Howdy! Longtime atlas reader, first time maker

    Howdy all!

I've been a fan of maps my whole life. I can remember being very happy sometime in elementary school when my dad was able to get me some old topo maps from the state department he worked for. I would sit and pour through atlases for hours. I've honestly been drawing maps for as long as I can remember, but over the past year had some time on my hands (ha!) to get really serious about it and start honing the craft.

My first map is a fantasy world map I'll be posting here shortly, that I made for a play-by-mail strategy game similar to Diplomacy that I designed and started playing last year with my friends.

I have other map projects in the works, including updating some old sci-fi planetary maps that I made way back in high school for a story I was writing. I might make a little gazetteer out of those...

I look forward to learning from and contributing to the community!
