    Default Townscaper

So I stumbled on this "game" on Steam that was just released off of Early Access recently, called Townscaper. It's cheap and has afforded loads of relaxation time, as there is no real goal to the game other than artistic expression in the area of building towns, and boy oh boy, they got it right.

This is my first stab at building something that looks like a functioning city, there are so many cool stylized elements, some of which are hidden, that really lend to a believable cityscape. I found this approach to be very inspirational for getting gears turning, and well, it's just plain fun if you like very open-ended sandbox style games. Worth a look.

It's a pretty amazing toy. By toy, I mean something you play with that has predefined victory condition (having a victory condition would make it a game). For a fun game from the same developer, take a look at Bad North.

I'll be sure to! They seem to care a lot about the product they release.

Just a little update, I was home sick all day yesterday, and may have went a bit nuts of building this city haha.

How hard is to create/build a city like that?

Just start clicking. Then save the STL file and make a 3D print.

No kidding, anyone can play this. The 3D printing ability is pretty neat.

This looks like a lot of fun, I'll have to give it a go at some point.
