Wip WIP - Isles of Thale

Ystraad by Bohunk, Avani by Wag, Border Princes by ??? & the post by Guyanonymous on tile cutting maps inspired me to make an another attempt.

    All feed back is appreciated.

I started with a large layout of 17,300x11,500. I retooled the landmass of my previous map (Bailiwan) and added some islands and I will scalp names and places from the old map and bring it to the new map. I also added some fjords in the north and will end with a tropical climate in the south.

Scale - right now I'm looking at about 2500 miles from east edge of the map to west but I might take that down a hair. I'd like to have plenty of land to hold many kingdoms but I'd like to be able to zoom in enough to show detail of the regions.

Design - Going for a cross between on old leather map and the maps found in current novels. I plan on sticking with one magenta color for everything. I'm also on the hunt for a good font to go with the style but haven't made up my mind on that.

    Hurraay, I'm helping!

    Great start and good luck!

BTW, love the border on Bailiwan. Those repeating patters just really do it for me and the integrated pattern into the embellished corners is awsome.
