Inspiration has been flickering for this personal project and I thought there would be no harm in asking for help. What could I add or change to make it immersive?

Hi
For one, I feel the ground is way over exposed brightness wise. Really over exposed. Take this moon crater picture for example. Start with that. And then with a soft brush with a dark color on half opacity, you can gently paint some shadows for the structures, that would add to the map too.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Brushes are not really part of my workflow as a vector artist, but I'll look into improving the brightness, thanks.

I think XCali's suggestion is a solid one. You could achieve a similar effect using the vector mesh tool.
