Wip January/February 2025 Challenge: Land of the Three Sisters

Starting this thread to hold me to the commitment. I plan on redrawing an old may from my world of Edha stories, which I have been writing on and off for some years. This world is how I got into mapmaking during COVID (for the first time since I was a kid at least) and eventually found the Guild. I haven't mapped anything in this world in at least a couple years, since I wanted to improve my mapmaking skills first. One of my resolutions this year is to start focusing on Edha again, including revamping the world map. But in the meantime, I will be redrawing this small regional map that I did in the early days usig Wonderdraft. I will be drawing this as a parchment in-universe map, since that way it won't matter much if I make changes in the overall world map redo later on (the geography of this region will only change slightly if at all).

Here is the map I will be re-drawing:

Here is one iteration of the old world map with some info on the world from awhile back (actually done for a challenge in 2022 when I was a new Guild member): https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...highlight=edha

Ok, I have a rough sketch of how I want to redraw this. I have not drawn a full map with perspective like this before and I am sure it is imperfect. If anyone ahs recommendations on how to improve before I dive into the lineart it would certainly be appreciated. This is an area largely devoid of trees, so I may not have any forests, except maybe in the right though this area may end up being covered.

Hi Turambar, the persoective lloks good to me. Maybe, if the map is of a large area, you can give a little curvature in the background.
Btw, I like your reinterpretation of the map
