Post Velantinia - a practice map

Due to a lot of things happening at work combined with getting ready for a trip to the desert later this year, finding time for a serious mapping project with any kind of deadline attached is difficult.

Still, I try to get some hours per week in. Just to keep the rust off and try a few things here and there.

So here is a completely purpose-free practice map of mine.

Gorgeous! And I love the simple humor of the place names, they juxtapose very well with the fine detail and beauty of the map.

That's wonderful. I should remember to not drink coffee when checking out maps, I almost sprayed my monitor when i read some of them. There are the subtle and amusing ones, but I find Death Trees to be funny in a way I can't explain

Another fantastic looking map, Tear. Great colour scheme and once again, marvelous labelling. Awesome stuff.

Looks super cool and that gold is to die for. Well done. But, then, you always do it that way

Great style. I really like the forests. And Full Stop.

Your stupid practice map looks like fifteen times more gorgeous than what I can do after working my arse-end off! I am ashamed.

Anyways, this is a beautiful map. Reps and ratings coming your way, oh Tearful One.

(By the way: I've been wondering is it "tear" as in crying or "tear" as in ripped up?)

    Thanks guys.

I know this is not a polished map, but in my opinion you shouldn't let your experiments rot on your hard drive.

It's both, actually. For various reasons.

    Post Names remind of someone...

Wow, the odd names on this map reminded me of someone I knew a long time ago, who used to design castles for his D&D game, from back in the Army 25 years ago. All of them had names like "Keep Out", "Keep Sake" or "Keep Offthegrass"...
