    Post Race Wars (forum game)

    Introduction

So quite some time ago, on an online game called Tribal Wars, I was introduced to a very awesome forum game, designed to pass the time. Race Wars, it was called, is a basic game involving numerous fantasy races. The goal is to raise your favoured race’s points by taking points from the other races. You may only move one point per post, and NO DOUBLE POSTING. There is no need to stay with one race the entire game, but don’t be a jerk by going back and forth, keeping the points at a standstill. It is doubtful that the game will actually ever end, but any race that gets eliminated is one less to worry about.

    Score keeping

The points are tracked by the table below:
    Human: 21
    Elves: 24
    Barbarians: 23
    Dwarves: 29
    Dragons: 30
    Undead: 27
    Halflings: 25
    Giants: 24
    Orks: 19
    Drow: 25
    Kobolds: 5

Note: with school, family, and other activities, I will only be able to update this table periodically. please refer to the last poster instead for accurate standings.

    The Golden Rules

    • No more adding races.

ONLY TRANSFER 1 POINT PER POST!

    • When posting, include the race you stole points from, and the race you gave the points to.
    Example
    Elves: +1
    Dwarves:-1

    • Please copy and paste the table from the previous poster into your post with the updated scores included.
    Example
    Human: 25
    Elves: 26
    Barbarians: 25
    Dwarves: 24
    Dragons: 25
    Undead: 25
    Halflings: 25
    Giants: 25
    Orks: 25
    Drow (evil elves): 25

If a race reaches 0, it is then eliminated

    • One may also, if they so choose, to include a role playing story along with the post. Please try to keep it relatively short; within 2 or 3 paragraphs. This makes the game a bit more interesting than just some numbers, and as I know many of you are writers, some short story telling won’t be that hard, I’m sure.

So, with the points reset at 25 for all the races, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

So are we allowed one post per 24 hours or something?

    Dragons: +1
    Human: -1

A foolish kingdom of hairless apes decides that raiding the Dragons' nests on nearby mountains for treasure would be a great way to fund the king's lavish banquets. Not only do they fail to find any gold, but the Dragons counterattack and punish the Humans by sacking their towns.

I was thinking more just wait one or two posts until you can go again; but 24 hours works as well. So long as you don't double post really.

    Drow: +1
    Barbarians: -1

The fall leaves crunched under the boots of a raiding party of barbarians, hailing from the north. Their loud steps shattered the serenity of the chilly woods; their torches illuminated the dusk. Unseen to them, a dark shadow shifted behind a tree. The dark hand of a drow assassin was not even sweating as he pulled back the bowstring. A sharp twang was the last thing the barbarian chieftain heard as an arrow imbeded itself in his skull. Suddenly, the sky was filled with a storm of dark arrows....

Fuelled by an aphrodisiac made of human bones, the halfling population raids cemeteries for raw material and their birth-rate increases exponentially. Unfortunately for the skeletons they are the prime ingredient in the recipe.

It was the bi-annual congregation of the brewers guild, one of the big brasses dared the guild to show who made the best ale by force of might. Several giants were cut down to size as a result. A new ale was invented just for the occassion, anklebiter ale!

    Halflings +1
    Orcs -1

Unbeknownst to the Orcs the Halfling village they conquered without a fight had a peculiar recipe book written during a long famine. During the celebratory feast the Orcs soon discovered what its name was. The ensuing good fortune allowed the the Halflings to have a comfortable and productive winter.

The tittle of the book? "How to serve Orc".

Tired of the constant raids the Jarls of the various giant clans band together to annihilate a newly forming ork horde. As the giants favor orkish flesh only slightly less than that of dwarves, the resulting boost in morale (and food supply) results in an increase in the size of the various clans.

Upset with the loss of his skeletal garden to the Haflings, the Lich Lord Iskartos decided that he needed a few new pets. Sadly, the only ones to be found had perched themselves atop a frozen mountain in the heart of his domain. But what more could a Lich Lord ask for than a half-dozen or so Dracoliches? Besides, they'd come in handy when he took his revenge on the upstart Haflings.
