December 2009 Entry: An Orc's Tale

Hi all, really want to do some more mapping. Afraid I dont have much time this month (only one week left before holidays) but I'll have a shot and see how far I come. Concept will be an Orc tale/legend explaining why Orcs have this "once a year great feast" when they dont smash up humans, dwarves and elves... Of course the story is accompanied by a lille map.... I did a quick 1hr markup of the concept.

first iteration based on sketch... moved the story part to the left as it seemed to fit better. As for the story.. I think I'll leave that out till the final version

Hi all, been thinkin up some story and decided not to wait till final version and inlcuded it. Here's the first version. Probs need some tuning (at least my poor english helps it give a Orcish feel to it i hope ...

Thanks Gandwarf. I posted the last update. I wanted to completely redo the line-work as am not yet satisfied with it but I wont get that done before my holidays so -probably apart from some small tuning- this will be my final entry post ...

My opinion, the forest needs a bit more green and be a bit lighter, just a bit not a whole lot, cuz it's rather difficult to make out.

thanks guys. I made the forest a bit lighter and changed the label-font. Don't have more time to work on this so this issit. I hope that on my holidays I will be able to throw in my vote. cheers
