    Default Hi guys

Hi, my name is Matias and i´m from Vienna, Austria (If my english sucks please tell me, I want to improve it so i would really appreciate any critique) . I'm 15 and I create maps since I don't know when. I'm new to creating maps via software (I work with photoshop) but I like it. And I saw some maps here on the forum and i was stunned. I sat in my chair and asked myself how any mortal person can create such a map (normally i don't praise other people like this but here it fits). I'm GMing for a group of 3 other people.

This is the map I'm currently working on, i like to make my maps a bit blurred (is that correct?), I don't like to make strong edges in my maps. And i have a question. I tried to make grass and woods many ways but i didn't like any of them, could you give me an idea?

First off, you're English is doing just fine so far. Second by blurred do you mean one map for the dm and one map that is not correct for the players? Third, a lot of people use pattern overlays for grass and you can find those types of things in the Mapping Elements or Mapping Resources sections. Fourth, if you want to give it a try yourself then break out the extra brushes that come with PS and look for one called "scattered dry brush"...I use that one all of the time on satellite style maps. If you are trying to draw them by hand then you might want to look for the brushes in the Elements section and see how we do our stuff so that you can learn to emulate that. Lastly, try out the tutorials in the Tutorial section and you will be rolling in no time flat. Okay, well, maybe a day or two.

Thanks for the advice. By blurred I mean, that I almost all the time use the soft round brush, because i don't like it, if the blue follows directly the yellow or the green or any color.

Welcome, your English is great but it sounds like you mean 'blended' in this case - not that there is a tremendous difference between the two.
