    Post Novelist: Making new worlds

    Hey all!
This is Rana, although my username here is AdalanEu. I am an aspiring novelist, and am currently working on a few different pieces, including a fantasy series based in Adalan Eu. I love maps, although I can't create them for anything. I can develop them in my head, but forget drawing them out. I'm hoping this forum can 1] help me be able to create my own maps, and 2] until that happens (which may not happen at all, who knows) I hope I can find someone who may be willing to partner with me to create a full-scale map of my world. I have a request set up already if anyone is interested... (details on the map and the copyrights, etc. are on my request page) Hope to become a continuous member here. Take care all.

    ~Rana

    Glad to have ya here.

Hello and welcome! Always good to see a fellow novelist in the mix. It is quite intriguing how much cartography can enhance fiction, especially in fantasy worlds, for not only potential readers but I'd say even moreso for the author. Hope you find what you're looking for here.

Welcome Rana, and I couldn't agree more - love maps in novels. I read Joe Abercrombies First Law Trilogy and was rather frustrated at times that there wasn't a map to show me how the world looked..
