Default Well, this is something new.

Hi, my name is saouris, and I came across the Cartographers' Guild while trying to figure out how to make maps for my little wargaming project. I'm into stuff like trains, wargames, and RPGs, and as a kid i used to enjoy drawing maps a lot. It's good to be back into this sort of stuff.

Well, I hope to get along well with the others in this forum and learn much here. That's all i have to say.

    Cheers

Hi saouris, welcome to the guild. We got a lot of good tutorials in here and when you're ready to show us what you do - post a thread in the WIP section for help and critique

Welcome aboard. I'm sure you will enjoy most everyones company here. It's a rather addicting site that will gobble up as much time I you give it. I've been laying low the last few weeks but I'll probably catch a wave in a few days.

Welcome to the Guild! By trains I assume you mean model trains? Or maybe both? I've been trying to get back in to model railroading but there's almost as much to learn (relearn, actually) as with map making. I've wanted to try making a nice map of my eventual layout someday. I have lots of hand drawings but it'd be cool to apply my new digital cartography skills to it.
