Default Reinventing the Warhammer Fantasy world

I love the Warhammer world, but since Im also a fan of coherent history, culture and such within fantasy settings it has always bothered me somewhat that the Warhammer world is...well, maybe too fantastic (if there is uch a thing ). So I made a new one.

Ive translated some of the places and made up some new one. Actually is a complete overhaul, so I wont go into details.

    I like it!

Your land seems a little flat, however. Perhaps it's supposed to be, to give a barren feel to the map, but I think you might be better off adding some further detail or shade variation. The coastlines are especially sharp.

That being said, you have a very interesting coastline shape. Is this something you've come up with yourself, or it it from the "Warhammer" world? As you might be able to tell, I'm not familiar with it.
The best maps are the ones we like the most after looking at the longest.

    Thanks!

Its based on this map http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...mmer_World.jpg

My original map is a bit less flat but when I flatten all the layers it does look a bit dull. Any tips how to avoid that?

And youre right, I should add some shade variation, bit this is my first try at a world map, and I havnt really understood the technique behind shaded terrain.

That being said, a barren feel is very Warhammeresque so its somewhat intentional.
