Default VA'DUM The Eldest & Most Primal Dominion

    Hey Guild,

Thanks for all the kind words and support in the work in progress thread. This is VA'DUM, my 4'th map and the one that has challenged me the most. There are things I would change, but there comes a point that I'm sure most creative people in any field have felt, that of wanting to move on after awhile. So here it is, The Eldest and Most Primal Dominion. A realm of Old Gods or Elder beings that created this place of chaos from their thought alone, giving form to the dark beyond. Their playground, perhaps.

Incredibly detailed and professional, Sarithus. Very high level of application here. Must've taken many days to make this... I reckon this should be nominated for Cartographer's Choice.

Really impressive map Sarithus! Totally agree with TaylorH about the nomination for Cartographer's Choice.

    Thanks!

I just wanted to point out though, as it has been mentioned elsewhere: I know people can sometimes look down on apostrophes in names, but on this map the overuse of the apostrophe is very much deliberate as I wanted all the names to be bizarre and sort of hard to pronounce, very much like Cthulhu.

Edit: Woops, I meant C'thun from World of Warcraft.

Awesome map, Sarithus! Impressive work on line art and coloring. Can't rep you just now, but it would be well deserved.

You can make names bizarre and hard to pronounce without using apostrophes! It's not like "Cthulhu" looks any easier.

I like the way the angle of the mountains changes in different places on the map.

Damn words taking away from my map. So far some people aren't too keen on the overuse of apostrophes even though they are deliberate, apparently hath is grammatically incorrect and someone pointed out I misspelled essence. I was sure I used 2 S's.

I'll fix them in the morning.

Don't feel bad, it seems like every time I post a map that I thought I had perfected, it turns out that there are always a number of mistakes that I had overlooked... In your case with this map it is so amazingly beautiful that I can't even imagine how anyone could even take the time to stop looking at it's stunningness to check of grammar mistakes. Fantastic work!
