A great job, Barek, especially the mountains!
So here is the finished map that had the "WIP Handdrawn ISO region map" title in the regional/world mapping subforum.
Hermits_hut_v2.jpg
This map is a part of my ongoing D&D campaign. It was also a great learning piece for using my tablet and trying to do more of an ISO and cartoony type of map.
All the styles and techniques I used were inspired/learned by browsing the forum and personal websites of some members. I have really learned a lot from you guys.
I also wish to thank for all the comments and suggestions in the WIP thread, especially from Chashio and Meshon.
Finally, if the WIP thread should be closed or if this wasn't needed to be posted here since the WIP already exists please let me know.
Cheers,
Barek

Cute map - I especially like the faerie ring!
Nope, you got it right - finished map here and the WIP stays where it is so future mappers can learn from and be inspired by the work flow and comments. You did a great job on this Barek! I just have one question for you I'm very curious... What's the reason behind the giant tree being red?
Great work Barek, especially as a learning exercise. The sketch work is nice. Hope the maps serves you well in your campaign.
Cheers,

First I would like to thank you all for the nice comments. It makes this work worth it and really makes me want to do more.
@Chashio - I really like red maples and their leaf color so I decided to place a giant red leaf tree with white bark(because awesome contrast) as I think a giant one would look awesome and can be explained as something brought here from the Feywild.(This is an old forest with lots of fey influence...fey clearing for an example). And the point for my campaign was that the players would gain inspiration from seeing such a magnificent sight. Afterwards I was like..oh, thats how weirwood looks...so even though I dont think so I might have been subliminally influenced
@arsheesh It did and it does. The players are exploring it a square at a time(forest is divided in some 10x7 squares) looking for the hermits hut, and they really enjoy the concept
Cheers,
Barek
