Nice layout darkseed.
You did a good job on the elevation lines.
I have just completed this along with a couple of other maps. This is a port town called Ahora, intended to be an Elvin city or Medieval human port town. Either way it looks good and works. The map contain black lines for the built structures, red for the 20 foot contours and green for the agriculture.
The thick blacker lines are the building footprints. Solid thinner lines are property lines. Dotted lines are for dirt roads or roads with a rough edge.
Red as explained shows elevation to 20 feet intervals.
Green are the farm fields. The densest lines are grains and berries. The middle density are vineyards, hops and vine crops. The least dense lines are orchards, otherwise tree crops.

I agree, it's a nice layout. I can't help but think though that this map isn't finished. A bit more color would help, and what about labels and a title?
Cheers,

Very nice and clean map, but a bit unfinished, as Arsheesh mentioned. Labels and title, maybe also some shades to underline the contour lines and coloring the sea.
THat's very neat, great composition and fantastic detail. I agree that some more things could be added, on the other hand I must say I like the sparse style. The explanation of what the different lines mean really should be on the map somewhere though, since it's crucial information when reading it.
I think I posted this in the wrong forum. As for the physical piece, it's done; I plan to create a key, also drawn by hand, but digitally added to printed works. I'm planning to make the maps blank so others can add their mythos and stories to them when they look at it. I need help with labeling since the map completed and ready to be scanned when I come up with the money to do so. I am open to someone helping me add labels and such.
Do you want it to be moved in the WIP section?
Good map. I like the elevation line and the property lines. Is it finished?
I'm calling it done. Anything I like labeling and such is well beyond the software I have, which is just the default for Windows Vista. My working method for creating my maps doesn't allow me to really plan ahead for labeling on the original piece. I don't plan anything, it's like I download the map and and start drawing what is in my head. If there is interest in labeling, I can create guides for someone with the software and computer skills to add labels. I will try to find the money to scan these all in and posted in high res. I would like to see some of these get modeled in someone elses style and used in their work. I plan to publish them in an atlas of Kidasuna, but leave the maps open to copying and use because of their layouts and realism.
