Really cool idea with lots of possibilites!
I think i'll give a try with something like the Thetys river in hyperion cantos books, a river crossing throught multiple planets through some stargates.

Ideas hmm maybe mapping Atlantis under water via steampunk submarine. History buffs, maybe map the river routes of Lewis and Clark. Sailing (or surfing?) the Milky Way sounds cool but that isn't water.
Neat idea. Not sure I have time this month, though.

Hmmm. I rolled 5 & 3. After a lot of thought, I have a cool idea that has to do with an ocean liner in the wrong place at the wrong time...
