You really developed the parchment into a real science ! Great map, in which the linear, the island and the parchment are really tied together for a beautiful ensemble !
Third flood and last, promise.
This is the finished version of Sketch 3. A pretty simple map drawn in one hour to let go some steam while suffering from the knee. I forced myself to only use black and white plus a parchment background. I also decided to assume the mantel of my Ward of Chiezbehrg counterpart : Hattam Reyes, the (mad) scrivener of the ancients.
I hope I did not mess the labels up, I tried to convey a cohesive cultural feeling.

Your parchment textures are getting better and better Thomas! Great map, I really enjoy your signature style, it fits perfectly for these island/continent maps!
Missed this third one yesterday, Thomas. Another lovely piece, love the sepia tones you've build up in this one!
Thanks Joel It's fun and relaxing to work on those parchments and it's a good warm up before diving into the map itself. Glad you find it consistent.
Thanks Tad
Thanks Daniel, I'll keep on practicing The sketch was a wander in my confidence zone, I needed that at the moment. I'll try some other styles with the signature of Hattam
Don't worry, I spammed the forum yesterday. I wanted to have no colors so, B&W and overlays ! I love overlays !
Merci beaucoup Julien
A neat map, well done. I love the 'torn paper' effect.
Wonderful
