Hey Víctor, welcome to the guild! Looking forward to seeing your progress. I'm a sucker for pixel art
Hello everyone,
My name is Víctor, and I am from Spain (sorry if my English sounds strange). I am happy to be part of this guild; it is beautiful apart from useful for us, who love to make maps. I was drawing sketches since my childhood, but especially when I was a teenager, I made hundreds of plans for my roleplaying D&D sessions manually.
My primary interest in joining this forum is that I am beginning a video game which depends largely on maps. The game I am planning is a pixel-based nostalgia project, which will resemble the video games of the 90s. It is a historical strategy idea set on the Greek and Phoenician expansion along the Mediterranean during the first millennium B. C., in a proposal inspired by Colonization and other similar games. I want to learn how to do proper maps or at least satisfactory ones. I was trying to perform one and, searching for help on the internet, I found this guild. My idea is to work with a screen resolution of 640x480, which is a size I can handle quickly if I have to put details.
I will try your tutorials and may start, with your permission, a thread to show my achievements. I may call it DIASPORA, the name of the game, that in Greek means: dispersion, spread or scattering. This how the ancient Greeks called this period of their history.
Thanks you all for your help and attention,
Víctor

Hi Víctor! Nice to have you here. I just joined the guild too. Sounds like kinda civ-game - cool.
Thank you guys, I have posted a thread here, I think my map has improved since yesterday. Once I have this map finished I will continue with several more to portray all the Mediterranean. Have a look!
